🏔 WV35 Weekend Update: “You Thought You Had It Figured Out… Didn’t You?”

WV35 Holler Weekly update featuring Bigfoot-style mascot Holler and raccoon Bandit Boone relaxing by a cabin with mountains and river, holding coffee and snacks, showcasing West Virginia outdoor lifestyle and rustic workwear brand.

It started like a lie.

Not a big one… just a quiet little lie West Virginia tells you every weekend:

“It’s gonna be a nice day.”

Holler stepped out on the porch, coffee in hand, hoodie on, looking out over the ridge like a man who thought he understood the situation.

Cool air. Little fog. Birds doing their thing.

“Perfect,” he said.

Bandit Boone was already sitting there… sunglasses on… drinking something that absolutely wasn’t coffee.

Didn’t say a word.

Just nodded like:

“Go ahead. Trust it. See what happens.”

☀️ Phase 1: False Confidence

By 10:30, Holler’s feeling like a genius.

Sun comes out. Warm breeze. That kind of weather that makes you start judging your earlier decisions.

“Man, I didn’t even need this hoodie,” he said, peeling it off like he just outsmarted nature itself.

Bandit just looked at him… slow sip… zero emotion.

That should’ve been the warning.

🌬 Phase 2: Immediate Regret

Noon hits.

And just like that — the switch flips.

Wind comes outta nowhere like it’s got a personal issue with you.

Temperature drops 15 degrees. Clouds roll in like they’ve been waiting all morning.

Holler’s standing there in a T-shirt, questioning everything.

“Alright… that ain’t right,” he muttered.

Meanwhile…

Bandit?

Still sitting there.

Now wearing a flannel.

Same exact spot.

Same exact expression.

Like he knew this was coming since Tuesday.

🌧 Phase 3: “Well This Is Happening Now”

Then… rain.

Not a polite rain.

Not a “grab an umbrella” rain.

The kind of rain that shows up sideways just to prove a point.

Everything’s wet. Everything’s muddy. Everything smells like wet leaves and bad decisions.

Holler’s halfway back to the truck, slipping around like a newborn deer.

“This day was perfect an hour ago,” he said.

Bandit?

Already under cover.

Already dry.

Already somehow eating something.

🔥 Phase 4: The Comeback

And just when you think the day’s shot…

West Virginia pulls it back together.

Rain clears. Sky opens up. That golden light hits the ridge like nothing ever happened.

Cool air. Fire lit. Boots kicked up.

Now everything feels right again.

Holler leans back, holding that same coffee mug like he’s been in control the whole time.

“This is why you stay,” he says.

Bandit raises his drink.

Smirks.

Because he knows…

Holler didn’t learn a damn thing.

🪓 Holler Truth of the Weekend

If you think you’ve got West Virginia weather figured out…

You don’t.

And honestly?

You’re not supposed to.

👕 What We Learned (Again)

This weekend proved one thing:

You don’t dress for the weather.

You dress for:

  • What it might be

  • What it was an hour ago

  • And what it’s about to become for no reason at all

That’s why Holler Ridge gear isn’t about looking good.

It’s about surviving your own decisions.

🍻 Weekend Recap (Accurate Version)

  • Someone said “it ain’t supposed to rain today” (it rained)

  • Someone wore shorts too early (it got cold)

  • Someone started a fire… then didn’t need it… then definitely needed it

  • At least one “quick trip” turned into a full day

  • And nobody… not one person… dressed right

🤔 Let’s Be Honest

Which one are you?

☕ Porch coffee starter🔥 Fire pit closer🚙 “Let’s just go for a drive” person🍺 “I’ll just have one” liar

(We already know the answer.)

🏔 Final Thought

West Virginia doesn’t care about your plans.

And that’s exactly why it’s better here.

Same holler. Different weather.

Same bad decisions.
